Holy Disgust
I am sure that many of you have heard by now that Kyle Lake the pastor of University Baptist Church in Waco, Texas was electrocuted while performing a baptism Sunday morning. This is the church that David Crowder leads worship for and helped start. He was 3 years older than Matt and I. He is leaving behind a wife, a 5 year old daughter and 3 year old twin boys. I can't begin to tell you how sick I feel inside for his family and community.
This hits home for Matt and I not just because we are around the same age, but because they have the same mission on their hearts that we have on ours- to reach the hearts of college students by God's grace and for his glory.
Tonight I was reading articles and blogs trying to find out the details of the funeral and what took place. I was encouraged by so many of the students that attended the funeral and who were already blogging. But as I was searching I became so disgusted at the many pagans all across the country who have heard about this tragedy and are using this instance to mock God and to make fun of Christians. It really makes me so angry. It is so evil. The enemy is so sickening in his tactics.
I really do not have a lot of words right now to say.... I am still in the moment of disgust.
More and more in the days in which we live the lines are becoming so clear between good and evil.
Choose you this day in whom you will serve.
